Case diameter does not decide whether a watch fits. Lug-to-lug does — and most makers leave it off the spec sheet. Enter your wrist size and every pick on this site is measured against it.
Measure around the bone with a tape measure, or wrap a strip of paper and hold it against a ruler. Most adult wrists fall between 15 and 20 cm.
How this is worked out
Lug-to-lug is the distance from the top of the case to the bottom — the part that actually rests across your wrist. A watch whose lug-to-lug is wider than the flat of your wrist will overhang, and no amount of strap adjustment fixes it.
The rule used here: up to 30% of your wrist circumference sits flat, up to 33% is wearable but noticeable, and beyond that it overhangs. It is a rule of thumb, not a law — wrist shape matters too, and a flat wrist carries more watch than a round one. Treat it as a shortlist, then check inside the retailer's return window.
Where a maker publishes no lug-to-lug figure, this page says so rather than guessing. That gap is the whole reason this page had to be built.
